13-241: FEE FOR SERVICE:
Any service rendered by the city to an individual owner, firm, private corporation or association for outside aid, or mutual aid for fire protection, will be billed to such entity by the city for such fire apparatus and rescue equipment and personnel at the following rates:
First hour, or part thereof, three hundred dollars ($300.00) and any hours beyond the first hour will be at one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) per hour per unit involved in such fire or rescue operation.
All monies received from the calls shall go into the city general fund to be used for firefighting and fire protection services. Such charges shall be billed to the owner and/or lessee of the property whose property is being protected from fire or who caused the incident which required the rescue unit.
If such owner or lessee is a member of the Stroud Rural Fire Association, then the billing shall be made to the association and, if paid by the association, no further charge will be made against the entity. However, if the association does not make payment on behalf of such entity, then such entity is liable for such charges. The charges for such to the Stroud Rural Fire Association and the members thereof shall be on the following basis:
First hour, three hundred dollars ($300.00); any additional hours, three hundred dollars ($300.00); total charge six hundred dollars ($600.00).
Any fees above set forth may be changed by resolution or motion of the city council.
If either the fire or rescue equipment is called to the fire or other emergencies by the Oklahoma highway patrolmen and the charge is not paid by others, then the Oklahoma department of transportation will be billed. (Ord. 199, 1-13-2005)
