232.01   Appointment; tenure; compensation.

232.01 APPOINTMENT; TENURE; COMPENSATION.
   (a)   The City Manager shall be appointed by resolution of Council and shall hold office at the pleasure of Council.
(Ord. 1032. Passed 3-13-84. )
   (b)   The compensation of the City Manager shall be as determined from time to time by Council and shall be payable in equal semimonthly installments, less deductions.
232.02 PURCHASING.
   The City Manager shall inform all suppliers of goods and services, as necessary, that:
   (a)   Purchasing decisions shall continue to be based exclusively on the merit of products under consideration for purchase; and
   (b)   Gifts, favors or gratuities intended to influence purchasing decisions shall subject suppliers to forfeiture of any other business with the City.
