13-3-8: USE OF PUBLIC FIRE HYDRANTS:
   A.   Interfering With Hydrants: Whoever opens any public hydrant, street sprinkler or opens any stop cock, valve or other fixtures, or interferes with the water supply from the time an alarm of fire is given until the signal of "fire out" is given by the fire department, except under the direction of the fire chief, is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished and fined as provided in section of this code. (2000 Code § 13-312)
   B.   Water Use From Hydrants: The regularly constituted fire companies of the city shall at all times have the liberty to use water from fireplugs or hydrants for the purpose of drilling, cleaning, washing or testing their fire apparatus. (2000 Code § 13-313)
