13-2-6: DUTIES:
   A.   Authority: Since the purpose of the reserve police force is to assist and support the city police department, the reserve police force will be used primarily to aid and assist the members of the police department. When on duty and in uniform, the reserve police officer will have the authority provided by state law for municipal police officers.
   B.   Under Control Of Police Chief And Police Officers: When on duty, the reserve police officer shall be under the control and authority of the chief of police, his designee, the on duty regular police force supervisor, or the regular police force officer present. (2000 Code § 13-206)
   C.   Perform Duties In Uniform: Reserve police officers shall perform police duties only when in uniform, except in an emergency or when directed otherwise by the chief of police or his designee. (2000 Code § 13-206; amd. Ord. 1069, 2-12-2008, eff. 3-13-2008)
