A. Books Of Record: The chief of police shall cause books of record to be kept for the police force, and of persons arrested for offenses; of time lost by patrol officers; of suspected persons and places and of all property placed in his charge, and such other books and records as shall be required by the business of the department.
B. Record Of Arrests: The chief of police or assistant chief of police or any police officer making an arrest shall enter in a book to be kept for that purpose at the police department, the name of the person arrested, the nature of the offense and a brief description of the property or articles found on the person of the prisoner.
