2-2-7: POWER CONCERNING CITY OFFICERS AND PERSONNEL 1 :

   The mayor and council shall have the power by order of resolution properly entered upon the journal by the clerk to consolidate any offices or employment, to transfer powers and duties from one office to that of another, to create new offices or employment, to abolish and to do away with any office or employment in the interest of economy and efficiency in the administration of the affairs of the city. All officers and employees of the city are charged with notice of the provisions of this section and their acceptance of the office or employment shall, at the time of acceptance and at all times thereafter, be subject to the exercise of this power at the will of the mayor and council.
