10-2-1: PETIT LARCENY:
   A.   Definition: "Petit larceny" is the taking of personal property of value not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00) accomplished by fraud or stealth and with intent to deprive another thereof, but it does not include the taking of such property from the "person" of another.    B.   Unlawful Act: Petit larceny is unlawful, and any person who commits petit larceny shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. (2000 Code § 10-201)
