Before the issuance of any license for any person, firm or corporation engaging in the business of spraying as provided herein, he shall file a surety bond with the city in the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) payable to the city and conditioned that the principal will at all times do all spraying strictly in accordance to the provisions of this chapter, that all work will be done in a good and workmanlike manner, that the city shall be fully indemnified and held whole and harmless from any and all cost, expense or damage to real property, or personal injury done to any person or property in the prosecution of his work as such sprayer that may arise out of or be occasioned in the performance of the work and that he will cause all property damaged by him to be repaired and put in the same condition as it was before the work was done. No license shall be issued to any sprayer until such bond has been filed and approved by the mayor and city council. (2000 Code § 9-502)
