9-2-2: DEFINITIONS:
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section:
   ITINERANT MERCHANT OR VENDOR: A person who is located in the city for a period of time and during this interval makes sales and delivery of goods, and has a verifiable and established place of business within or outside the state.
   PEDDLER: Any person who travels about the city selling small goods and wares which he carries with him, and has no fixed place of business but travels from place to place, and is prepared to deliver his wares and goods at the same time he solicits business. The term shall also include hawkers and hucksters.
   SOLICITOR OR CANVASSER: A person who solicits or canvasses by going from place to place in an effort to take orders for goods for future delivery. He may or may not use samples in soliciting an order. (2000 Code § 9-201)
