5-2-1: PLUMBING CODE ADOPTED; REVISIONS:
   A.   That a certain document, two (2) copies of which are on file in the office the City Clerk of the City of Seminole, being marked and designated as the International Plumbing Code, 2021 Edition, including all Appendix Chapters, as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the Plumbing Code of the City of Seminole, in the State of Oklahoma regulating and governing the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of plumbing systems as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fee therefor; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Plumbing Code on file in the office of the City of Seminole are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this legislation, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in subsection B. of this section.
   B.   The following sections are hereby revised:
   Section 101.1. City of Seminole.
   Section 106.6.2 Omit Schedule.
   Section106.6.3 Remove.
   Section 108.4. change to Section 115.4.
   Section 108.5. Remove.
   Section 109, Means of Appeal: Omit entire section and replace with Section 113.
   Section 715.1, change to Section 714.1, Sewage Backflow, and amend as follows:
      A backwater valve shall be installed on all building sewers that connect to the public sewer system. This shall be required for all new construction and on existing buildings as sewer lines are repaired or replaced.
   Section 715.5, change to 714.3, Location, and amend to read as follows:
      Backwater valves shall be installed so that access is provided to the working parts for service and repair. If installed under concrete or asphalt paving (i.e., sidewalks, driveways or parking areas), backwater valves shall be installed in a permanent box or access enclosure whose lid is flush with grade. If installed under soil or ground cover vegetation, a backwater valve shall be installed in a permanent box or access enclosure whose lid is flush with grade or above.
   Section 305.4.1. Insert "18 inches for sewer line depth" Section 903.1. Insert "36 inches". (Ord. 1182, 9-8-2015; amd. Ord. 1280, 11-8-2022)
