Except insofar as the application thereof is clearly impractical or inappropriate, in view of the context of purposes or penalty as provided, all of the definitions, requirements, regulations, prohibitions, provisions and sections of the Illinois vehicle code, 625 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/1-100 et seq., as amended, are hereby adopted by the village. Any and all violations thereof shall be considered violations of this title, and, upon conviction, each such violation shall subject the violator thereof to penalty provisions of section 1-4-1 of this code. A. No person shall excessively accelerate a motor vehicle or test the acceleration or speed of any motor vehicle from a stopped or moving position so as to create excessive vehicle noise, whether such speed is below or in excess of the established speed limits as set forth in the village.
B. No person shall accelerate or decelerate any motor vehicle in such a manner as to cause the tires of such vehicle to squeal, smoke or form black skid marks on the pavement.
C. No person shall accelerate in such a manner as to make the motor vehicle swerve or fishtail from side to side. (Ord., 1-27-1986)
D. The penalty for any violation of this section shall be a fine of not less than twenty five dollars ($25.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00). (Ord., 1-27-1986; amd. 2009 Code)
