11.04.100: CONCEALMENT OF IDENTITY OR FURNISHING FALSE INFORMATION:
Any peace officer, as defined in Utah Code Annotated section 53-13-101 et seq., charged with enforcement of city ordinances, may stop any person in a public place when he has a reasonable suspicion to believe the person has committed or is in the act of committing or is attempting to commit a public offense and may demand the person's name, address and an explanation of his or her actions. It is unlawful for any person stopped and questioned under these circumstances to knowingly and intentionally conceal or attempt to conceal his or her identity, falsely identify himself or herself, or furnish or give false or misleading information to any such peace officer.
