It is unlawful for any person to convey, transport, or haul through or upon any of the public streets any solid waste or recyclable items except as permitted by the Salt Lake Valley health department. Haulers shall comply with all permitting, vehicle, and operational requirements established by the Salt Lake Valley health department. Private citizens are permitted to transport only their own personally generated solid waste and recyclable items to appropriate licensed and permitted disposal and recycling facilities under the condition that they follow all rules regarding securing and covering loads, and prevent all spills or other releases of the material during transport.
