8.08.090: DOCKING HORSES' TAILS PROHIBITED:
It is unlawful for any person to cut or assist in cutting, within the limits of the city, the bone of the tail of any horse for the purpose of docking the tail, or for any person to cause or knowingly permit the same to be done upon the premises of which he is the owner, lessee, proprietor or user, within the city; and if a horse is found with its tail so cut, and with the wound resulting from such cutting unhealed, upon the premises of any person in the city, such fact shall be prima facie evidence that the person who occupies or has the use of the premises upon which the horse is so found has committed such offense, and if a horse is found with its tail so cut, and the wound resulting from such cutting unhealed, in the charge or custody of any person in the city, such fact shall be prima facie evidence that the person having charge or custody of such horse has committed such offense.
