5.68.100: COMMERCIAL AND BUSINESS ADVERTISING RESTRICTIONS:
Except as provided in section 5.68.040 or 5.68.050 of this chapter or its successor, it is unlawful for any person to use or operate any sound device or apparatus for commercial and business advertising purposes; provided, however, that, between the hours of ten o'clock (10:00) A.M. and nine o'clock (9:00) P.M., soft music may be directed toward a City street from the building occupied by a commercial or business establishment, provided the sound emitted by the sound device or apparatus used is not audible to the human ear at any distance greater than fifty feet (50') from the building front at ground level or the sound source, whichever distance is greater from the center of the nearest street.
