A. Religious And Charitable Solicitations: The requirements of this article shall not apply to persons or organizations conducting religious or charitable solicitations that are registered with the Utah Division of Consumer Protection as required by the Utah Charitable Solicitation Act or its successor.
B. Duplicative Licensure Under Utah State Law:
1. The requirements of this article shall not apply to persons that have already lawfully obtained a license as an alarm company agent under Utah Code section 58-55-301, or its successor section, and who are only engaging in face-to-face solicitation activities covered by their alarm company agent license.
2. It is unlawful for a person who has obtained a license as an alarm company agent under Utah Code section 58-55-301, or its successor section, to engage in a face-to-face solicitation for any product or service not covered by their alarm company agent license without first obtaining a permit for solicitation as set forth in this article.
