§ 51.17 ALLOWABLE BURNABLE ITEMS.
   (A)   Definition. For the purpose of this section, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates, or requires, a different meaning.
      ALLOWABLE BURNABLE ITEMS. Natural brush and limbs, bush trimmings and flower clippings, grass and leaves.
   (B)   Grass. The village recommends that the grass clippings be left upon the yard or composted. If residents choose to bag the clippings, the village shall collect bags under the following conditions.
      (1)   The village shall only accept grass clippings placed in specially marked village bags.
      (2)   The village shall only collect bags placed on the curb at the front of the residence.
   (C)   Brush. Pick up and disposal of brush shall be as follows.
      (1)   The village shall only accept brush from the routine trimming of trees and shrubbery that are cut in lengths not exceeding four feet, and placed at the curb or front of the residence.
      (2)   The village shall collect small trimmings, garden refuse, and vines that are placed in specially marked village bags.
      (3)   The village shall not accept brush intermingled with grass and loose leaves.
      (4)   The village shall only collect bags placed on the curb at the front of the residence.
   (D)   Leaves. Pick up and disposal of leaves shall be as follows.
      (1)   The village shall only collect un-bagged leaves during the fall season.
      (2)   The village shall give notice as to the collection period.
      (3)   The village shall only collect leaves that are raked to the curb at the front of the residence for collection.
      (4)   The village shall only accept bagged leaves placed in specially marked village bags.

§ 51.18 PROHIBITED BURNABLE ITEMS NOT TO BE COLLECTED.
   (A)   The village shall not accept the following, or substantially similar, items as burnable refuse:
      (1)   Broken concrete, dirt, sod, rocks;
      (2)   Bricks, blocks, construction materials, demolition materials, including wood and lumber;
      (3)   Stumps and root systems; and
      (4)   Village residents wishing to haul debris of this nature shall obtain prior approval from the Street Commissioner.
   (B)   The preceding list is for descriptive purposes only and is not an exhaustive list of items that the village shall refuse to accept. The village may refuse delivery of any items determined by the village to be unacceptable for transportation to the dump site. Anyone wishing to haul debris to the dump site shall obtain the preapproval of the Street Commissioner

§ 51.19 SCHEDULE OF COLLECTION.
   Burnable refuse shall be collected according to the following schedule.
   (A)   All brush, grass clippings, yard debris, and out of season leaves will be picked up once a month on the first Tuesday of the month.
   (B)   All yard debris must be at the curb by Monday of the pick-up week by 8:00 a.m. The last week of April and the last week of September will be designated clean-up weeks, and there will be no charge made for the pick up and disposal of all allowable burnable items, which fall under the base rate, and 30-minute intervals.
   (C)   Live Christmas trees will be picked up at no charge until January 31; after that a fee will be assessed per tree in accordance with § 51.20 herein.
   (D)   Additional pick up dates may be scheduled at the discretion of the Street Department.
   (E)   All fees shall be paid prior to pick up.

§ 51.20 FEES.
   The village shall assess fees for burnable refuse collection according to the following schedule.
   (A)   The village shall assess a fee of $25 per trip or load.
   (B)   If, in the discretion of the Street Department, it is determined that the village chipper is needed to cut down on time and/or space, an additional charge of $25 will be assessed for a total of $50 per trip or load.
   (C)   Live Christmas trees collected after January 31 shall be assessed a fee of $25 per tree.
   (D)   Yard waste bags shall cost $2 per bag.
   (E)   Village residents who receive permission to transport debris to the dump site shall be charged a fee of $10 per load.

§ 51.99 PENALTY.
   (A)   Any person violating any provision of this chapter, for which no other penalty is provided, shall be subject to the penalty provisions of § 10.99.
   (B)   Any person violating any of the provisions of § 51.01 shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined not in excess of $25. Each day such a violation continues may be treated as a separate offense.
