It shall be unlawful to own, keep or use any yard, pen, place or premises in or upon which any permitted animal shall be confined, kept or harbored so as to create a public health or safety hazard or public nuisance. Any person found in violation of this section shall be subject to a fine of not less than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00). A separate offense shall be considered for each day such nuisance shall continue, after notice to remove and abate the nuisance is given.

A person shall be guilty of cruelty to any animal in any of the ways mentioned in this section:
A. By cruelly beating, torturing, tormenting, mutilating or killing any animal, or causing or knowingly allowing the same to be done;
B. By unnecessarily failing to provide any animal in his charge or custody, as owner or otherwise, with proper food, drink, shelter and air;
C. By abandoning any animal;
D. By keeping any animal in any unnecessarily cruel manner;
E. By carrying or causing to be carried, keeping or causing to be kept, any animal bound or tied by its legs, or bound down by the neck, or so that it cannot freely stand in an upright position while being transported, or by carrying or causing to be carried, keeping or causing to be kept, any animal in any crate or cage so constructed as to permit such animal to push its head between the slats, wires or other openings of such cage, unless the space between such wires or slats is also sufficient to permit such animal to freely withdraw its head therefrom.

A. No person shall feed any bird including, but not limited to, geese, ducks, pigeons and similar fowl while such person is in or on any property owned, controlled, or under the jurisdiction of the Village or the Rosemont Park District including, but not limited to, parks, the premises of public buildings and structures, parkways, streets and other public rights-of-way.
B. No person shall leave any seed, bread or bread crumbs, or other foodstuff which is intended to be or which may constitute bird food on any property owned, controlled or under the jurisdiction of the Village or the Rosemont Park District.
C. Any person violating the provisions of either subsection A or B of this section shall, upon conviction, be subject to a fine of not less than two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) for each offense.

A. Prohibited In Residential Areas: No lion, tiger, leopard, ocelot, jaguar, cheetah, margay, mountain lion, Canada lynx, bobcat, jaguarundi, hyena, coyote, bear, poisonous reptile or other animal which is ferae naturae (wild by nature and not usually tamed) shall be kept in any residence or on any residential property within the corporate limits of the Village.
B. Running At Large Prohibited: No lion, tiger, leopard, ocelot, jaguar, cheetah, margay, mountain lion, Canada lynx, bobcat, jaguarundi, hyena, coyote, bear, poisonous reptile or other animal ferae naturae shall be permitted to run at large within the corporate limits of the Village at any time.
C. Authority To Kill: The members of the Public Safety Department and any other person in the Village are authorized to kill any lion, tiger, leopard, ocelot, jaguar, cheetah, margay, mountain lion, Canada lynx, bobcat, jaguarundi, hyena, coyote, bear, poisonous reptile or other animal ferae naturae when it is necessary for the protection of any person or property.
