CHAPTER 9: CHECKPOINTS AT SCOTT STREET SUBDIVISION

6-9-1: AUTHORITY TO ESTABLISH AND OPERATE; HOURS:
The Superintendent of Public Safety (the “Superintendent”) is hereby authorized to establish and operate “checkpoints” at the entrances to the Scott Street Subdivision. Any checkpoint established pursuant to this chapter shall be manned by either a full-time uniformed officer or auxiliary officer of the Public Safety Department during such times when the checkpoint is being operated. The Superintendent shall determine the hours during which the checkpoints will be operated.

6-9-2: SIGNS POSTED:
The Superintendent shall cause signs to be posted at those entrances to the Scott Street Subdivision where checkpoints are established stating that all persons, motorists, and passengers who intend to pass through the checkpoint are subject to questioning.

6-9-3: PERSONS PASSING THROUGH STOPPED AND QUESTIONED:
All persons, motorists, and passengers who pass through a checkpoint shall be stopped and questioned except for those motorists operating a motor vehicle which displays either a current Village vehicle sticker or displays a decal issued by the Village Clerk to those persons who are employed at or performing services at locations within the Scott Street Subdivision pursuant to section 6-9-5 of this chapter.
