1436.07 BARBED WIRE FENCES.
   No person shall erect or maintain a barbed wire fence which abuts or is adjacent to any public street or sidewalk. Barbed wire is not permitted in a residentially zoned district nor the Central Business District. Barbed wire is not permitted below six feet in height. Barbed wire shall be slanted inward toward the interior of the property. No more than three strands of barbed wire shall be utilized on a fence.
   Barbed wire in the C-1, C-2 and I-1 zoning district that abuts a residentially zoned district is required to receive the Board of Zoning Appeals approval to install barbed wire along the abutting property line.

1436.08 DIRECTION OF FACE SIDE OF FENCES.
   Where fences by design have a face side and a back side, the face side must face the neighbor. When in doubt, the posts must face the property owner.

1436.09 FENCE PERMIT REQUIRED.
   No person shall construct or erect a fence without first obtaining a permit therefor.

1436.99 PENALTY.
   Whoever violates any of the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a minor misdemeanor and shall be fined not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each offense. A separate offense shall be deemed committed by each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
