1-7-1: APPOINTMENT OF OFFICERS, TERMS:
The Mayor shall, with the consent of the Council, appoint a Clerk, Treasurer, Attorney, Chief of Police, City Engineer, Public Works Supervisor, Building Inspector and other officers as may be deemed advisable for the efficient operation of the City. (1959 Code §1-2201; 1990 Code)
1-7-2: BONDS OF OFFICERS:
The following officers shall give bonds to the City with two (2) or more sufficient sureties in the penal sum as follows; provided, surety bonds may be furnished at the expense of the City in lieu of personal bonds:
City Clerk   $200,000.00
City Treasurer   200,000.00

1-7-3: SALARIES:
   A.   Commencing January 1,2024, the salaries of the Mayor and of the members of the Parma City Council shall be as follows:
      1.   The Mayor shall receive an annual salary in the sum of eleven thousand four hundred dollars;($11,400.00) paid in 12 equal installments of $950.00.
      2.   Each member of the Council shall receive an annual salary in the sum of 1800.dollars ($1800.00; paid in 12 equal installments of $150.00.
      Optional: The Mayor shall receive the same employee benefits as any full-time employee city employee except for accrual of vacation or sick leave.
   B.   Appointive Officers: The appointive officers of the city shall receive such compensation for their official duties as the mayor and council shall from time to time prescribe. (Ord. 329, 8-31-1973; amd. 1990 Code; Ord. 543, 8-13-2007)
