1284.01 PURPOSE.
   The Public Recreation District is designed to accommodate general public recreation activities, both indoor and outdoor, active and passive. Only properties, lots and/or parcels under the ownership of public entities, such as the City of Norton, County of Summit, or the State of Ohio, shall be allowed this classification.

1284.02 PERMITTED USES.
   Permitted uses in a Public Recreation District are:
   (a)   Birdwatching and wildlife observation.
   (b)   Boating.
   (c)   Fishing.
   (d)   Hiking, biking and/or equine trails.
   (e)   Interpretive centers, education centers, meeting facilities and similar facilities without overnight accommodations.
   (f)   Parks.
   (g)   Playfields, playgrounds and tot lots.
   (h)   Picnic areas.
   (i)   Swimming pools.
   (j)   Tennis courts, golf courses, football fields and similar athletic sports facilities.
   (k)   Wildlife sanctuaries.
