(b) A pet shop will not be required to comply with the requirements of 24 RCNY §§ 5-03 and 5-04 regarding any dog or cat offered for adoption by an animal shelter or animal rescue organization using such pet shop's facilities, provided that such pet shop does not have an ownership interest in such animal.
