Section MC 1107: Refrigerant Piping
1107.1 General.
The design of refrigerant piping shall be in accordance with ASME B31.5. Refrigerant piping shall be installed, tested and placed in operation in accordance with this chapter.
1107.1.1 Protection of refrigerant piping located inside buildings.
All refrigerant piping and fittings installed at a height less than 7 feet 3 inches (2209.8 mm) above the floor shall be concealed or otherwise protected from mechanical damage except at the point of connection to terminal equipment.
