G308.11 Alterations to pre-FIRM buildings involving flood protective works.
Where alterations to pre-FIRM buildings within the flood hazard area, other than substantial improvements or horizontal enlargements, include the installation of flood protective works, compliance with ASCE 24, Section 6.2.2 shall be required. Flood protective works shall be located and arranged so as to allow hose lines to be attached to the inlets of fire department connections without interference in accordance with Section 6.4.5 of NFPA 14, as modified by Appendix Q of this code.
