701.1 Scope.
The provisions of this chapter shall govern the materials, design, construction and installation of sanitary drainage systems.
701.2 Sewer required.
Buildings in which plumbing fixtures are installed and premises having drainage piping shall be connected to a public sewer, where available and where connection thereto is feasible. Where neither a sanitary nor a combined sewer is available to which connection is feasible, a private sewer or private sewage disposal system shall be provided. See Section 107.6.1 for required construction documents relating to provisions for discharge for sanitary sewage.
701.2.1 Extensions of public sanitary or combined sewers.
Extensions of public sanitary or combined sewers shall be made in accordance with the regulations of the Department of Environmental Protection.
