Chapter 2: New York City Fire Code
Editor's note: the New York City Fire Code was comprehensively amended by L.L. 2022/047, 1/15/2022, eff. 4/15/2022. For related unconsolidated provisions, see Appendix A at L.L. 2013/148 and L.L. 2022/047. The Fire Code uses the format "FC101" for section number references (without a space between FC and the section number), but spaces have been inserted throughout to facilitate searching of the text in electronic data applications.
Chapter 1: Administration
Section FC 101: General
101.1 Title.
This code, including any appendices hereto, shall be known as the New York City Fire Code, hereinafter referred to as "this code" or "the code." All section numbers in this code shall be deemed to be preceded by the designation "FC."
