1610.01 2011 EDITION ADOPTED; PURPOSE.
   There is hereby adopted by the City, for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire or explosion, that certain code known as the Ohio Fire Code, recommended by the State of Ohio, Department of Commerce, Division of State Fire Marshal, being particularly the 2011 edition and the whole thereof, save and except such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified, or amended. It is further ordained that the City of Newark, Ohio does hereby accept and incorporate into the Codified Ordinances of the City of Newark, Ohio any and all future Fire Prevention and Inspection Code as adopted by the Ohio Fire Marshal’s Office unless otherwise repudiated or amended.
