1032.02 ISSUANCE OF PERMITS.
   A permit to construct a driveway approach shall be issued only when it is the joint opinion of both the Director of Public Service and the Director of Public Safety that the new driveway will not create undue safety or traffic problems.

1032.03 WIDTHS.
   In general, a new driveway for a private residence shall be not wider than thirty feet at the curb line and a new driveway for a commercial property shall be not wider than thirty-six feet at the curb line. These limits may be adjusted by the Director of Public Service if, in his or her opinion, special and unique conditions warrant an adjustment.

1032.04 CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS.
   All new or reconstructed driveway approaches on guttered and/or curbed streets shall be constructed of Portland cement concrete. On nonimproved streets, new or reconstructed driveway approaches shall be constructed of either Portland cement concrete or asphaltic cement, to lines and grades established by the City Engineer. The use of aggregate or earthen driveway approaches is not permitted.

1032.05 STORM CULVERT PIPE.
   Whenever a new driveway is constructed, or an existing driveway is improved in an area which does not have curbs and gutters, a storm culvert pipe shall be installed through the driveway. The size (diameter), type, alignment and grade of the culvert shall be established by the City Engineer.

1032.99 PENALTY.
   Whoever violates or fails to comply with any of the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a minor misdemeanor and shall be fined not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00). A separate offense shall be deemed committed each day during or on which a violation or noncompliance occurs or continues.
