232.20 PROVIDING POLICE PROTECTION OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS.
   (a)   The Police Division, when so authorized by the Chief of Police, or, in his absence, a Deputy Chief of the Police Division, is hereby authorized to provide police protection to any county, municipal corporation or township of the State.
   (b)   All such authorizations shall be made in writing or reduced to writing as soon as practicable and shall be maintained by the Chief of Police or his designee.
