The city council of Mt. Pulaski, Illinois, finds that the Mt. Pulaski water department was developed and is maintained to provide water to the citizens of the city of Mt. Pulaski. Its primary purpose is to supply water to the citizens of the city of Mt. Pulaski to further their health and welfare. Therefore, when it appears that the city water supply is at a level such that fulfilling that purpose is compromised, it is necessary to put water restrictions in place.
If any clause of this chapter is determined to be unenforceable, the remainder of this chapter shall remain intact and enforceable. If this chapter conflicts with any other ordinance of the city, this chapter shall take precedence. (Ord., 7-24-2012)
