6-3-3: NOISES:
No person shall, in the city, keep or harbor any dog, cat, or other animal which, by barking, howling, bawling, or by other noises, shall disturb the peace and quiet of any family, individual or neighborhood; and every person violating this section shall forfeit and pay to the city, within seventy two (72) hours of the date of the ticket charging such alleged offense, not less than twenty five dollars ($25.00) for the first offense and not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) for each subsequent offense alleged to have occurred within a twelve (12) month period. Payment of the fine above shall be made at the police station or at the city hall and a receipt issued for the money so received, and said money shall be promptly turned over to the city treasurer. If not paid as above, a written complaint for a violation of this section shall be obtained and issued through the city attorney and served by certified mail on the person or persons charged with the offense along with a notice to appear to answer said charge. Any person found guilty by a court of law or jury of violating the provisions of this section shall be subject to the penalty provisions of section 6-3-6 of this chapter.
