6-3-1: CRUELTY:

No person shall cruelly treat any animal in the city in any way. Any person who inhumanely beats, overloads, underfeeds or abandons any animal shall be deemed guilty of a violation of this section. (1967 Code § 26.101)

Each owner shall provide for each animal a sufficient quantity of food and water, and adequate protection from the weather. (Ord., 9-9-2008)
