§ 4A-140. OFFICE OF BUILDING INSPECTION.
   (a)   Administrator designated; duties generally. A department under the Town Manager is hereby created to be designated as the Office of Building Inspection. This department shall be administered by the Building Official. The Building Official shall be responsible for performing the following duties for the Town:
      (1)   Issuing and recording of building permits;
      (2)   Inspection of all phases of building construction; and
      (3)   Enforcement of provisions of the Land Development Code.
   (b)   Administrative arrangement. This department of the Office of Building Inspection administratively shall be arranged as a department under the Town Manager, and the Administrator of this department shall be directly responsible to the Town Manager.
