It is hereby declared to be the policy and purpose of the Town of Melbourne Beach to extend, effective December 1, 2006, to its employees, officers, and officials thereof, not excluded by law or excepted herein, the benefits of the Florida Retirement System as authorized by Chapter 121, Florida Statutes to cover by such plan all services which constitute employment as defined in Chapter 121, Florida Statutes performed in the employ of the town by employees, officers, and officials thereof.
