(a) The official seal of the town is hereby adopted by the Town Commission. The seal includes the words "TOWN OF MELBOURNE BEACH, FLORIDA", "FOUNDED 1883", and the word "SEAL". The following symbol is hereby designated to be the official seal of the town:
(b) In accordance with the Florida Statutes, the manufacture, use, display, or other employment of any facsimile or reproduction of the municipal seal, except by municipal officials or employees in the performance of their official duties, without the express approval of the Town Commission is a second-degree misdemeanor, punishable as provided by Florida Statutes.
