9-10-9: VEHICLES TO BE REMOVED OR DISABLED:
Any vehicle parked upon any public street, avenue, alley or Municipal parking lot in violation of any provision of this chapter may be removed by the Chief of Police or other designated official to any off street parking area or to a public or private garage and stored in such off street parking area or public or private garage or lot until claimed by the owner thereof as hereinafter provided. In the case of vehicles parked in violation of the habitual violator provisions of this chapter, any police officer or parking enforcement officer of the Police Department may, in lieu of removal, place a locking wheel chock or other similar device on any wheel or tire of the vehicle to prevent its removal until the owner or operator has appeared before the Parking Enforcement Bureau as required by section 9-10-22 of this chapter.
