No person who is affected with tuberculosis or arty venereal infections, contagious or other communicable disease shall work or be employed in any restaurant, hotel, barbershop, beauty parlor, soda fountain, bottling works, stand where cold drinks or other drinks are sold, grocery store, fruit stand, butcher shop or any place where food is handled or sold, in any capacity where such person shall come in contact with such business or the public patronizing the same. Any person knowingly employing such diseased persons or any person so diseased who shall enter into such employment shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor. (Prior code § 7-3-8)
