9.04.010   False alarms.
   It is unlawful for any person to make, turn in or give a false alarm of fire or of need for police or ambulance assistance, or to interfere wilh the proper functioning of an alarm system, or to aid or abet the commission of such an act. (Prior code § 7-1-20)
9.04.020   Filing false reports.
   It is unlawful for any person to maliciously make or file with the police department any false, misleading or unfounded report or statement concerning the commission or alleged commission of any crime. (Prior code § 7-1-21)
9.04.030   Impersonating an officer.
   It is unlawful for any person other than a duly commissioned police officer to wear or carry the uniform, apparel, badge, identification card or other insignia of office, the same, similar or a colorable imitation of that adopted and worn or carried by duly commissioned police officers unless acting in the course of regular business and with the permission of the city, or, without authority, to exercise or attempt to exercise the functions of, or pretend to be, a peace officer or judge. 9.04.040   Insignia of law enforcement agencies- Unauthorized use prohibited.
   It is unlawful to display on any vehicle or sign the words "police," "police department," "fire department" or words or insignia of similar import without the authority of the city manager; provided, that nothing contained in this section shall apply to any state or county vehicle. (Prior code § 7-1-24)
9.04.050   Interfering with officer- Resisting arrest.
   A.   It is unlawful to resist, abuse, molest, hinder, obstruct or refuse to obey or assist when called upon to do so, any police officer, fireman or judge while in the discharge of his duty.
   B.   It is unlawful to knowingly resist or oppose any officer of this state in the lawful discharge of his duties. (Prior code §§ 7-1-22, 7-1-29)
9.04.060   Concealing true identity.
   It is unlawful for any person to conceal one's true name or identity, or to disguise one's self with intent to obstruct the due execution of the law or with intent to intimidate, hinder or interrupt any public officer or any other person in a legal performance of his duty or the exercise of his rights under the laws of the United States, the state of New Mexico, or the city of Lovington. 9.04.070   Escaping from custody-Assisting escape.
   A.   It is unlawful for any person, while a prisoner of the city or otherwise in the custody of or confined by the city, to escape or attempt to escape or to assist other prisoners to escape or attempt to escape from such custody or confinement.
   B.   It is unlawful for any person to assist, attempt to assist or offer to assist any person in custody of or confined under the authority of the city to escape from jail, place of confinement or custody. (Prior code § 7-1-25)
9.04.080   Health hazards-Failure to comply-Abatement
   A.   Any person who shall conceal, secrete or hide upon his premises any source of filth prejudicial to the public health or any source of filth or cause of sickness or shall fail or refuse to make known to the proper authorities the existence of any contagious disease immediately after (he same becomes known to him or shall violate any of the provisions of this section in any manner, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.
   B.   If the owners or occupants do not comply with the order of the health officer, such officer may summon sufficient assistance and remove such source of filth and cause of sickness and if admittance to the premises is refused, the health officer or any person interested shall make complaint before the municipal judge of the city stating the facts of the case and the municipal judge shall thereupon issue a warrant to the health officer commanding him to take sufficient aid and, between the hours of sunrise and sunset, to proceed to such place and remove such nuisance, source of filth or cause of sickness.
