Sec. 7.55. Application for Cancellation of Unpaid Taxes.
 
   The President of the Board of Public Works, the Vice President of the Board of Public Works, the City Engineer or designee thereof and the General Manager of the Department of General Services are hereby severally authorized, as agents of the City of Los Angeles, a municipal corporation, to make all applications, pursuant to the provisions of Section 4986 of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the State of California, for the cancellation of uncollected taxes, penalties or costs heretofore or hereafter levied upon property acquired by the City of Los Angeles, to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles and all proper county officials including the County Auditor and the County Counsel of the City of Los Angeles.

Sec. 7.56. Approval by City Attorney.
 
   All such applications for cancellation of such taxes shall first be submitted, pursuant to the provisions of Section 4986.2 of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the State of California, to the City Attorney of the City of Los Angeles for the City Attorney’s written approval and consent to the cancellation of such taxes.

ARTICLE 9
SALE OR DISPOSITION OF REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES AND ACQUIRED BY IT FOR AND ON ACCOUNT OF THE FIRE AND POLICE PENSION FUND

7.59   Authorization.
7.60   Mayor to Execute Deed.
 
 
Sec. 7.59. Authorization.
 
   Any real property or any right, title, estate or interest in any real property owned by the City of Los Angeles and which has been acquired as the result of any action taken or authorized to be taken by the Board of Pension Commissioners of said City in order to collect or liquidate any investment made in local improvement bonds of moneys in the Fire and Police Pension Fund of said City as provided in Section 180 of the City Charter may be sold, assigned or transferred by said Board of Pension Commissioners upon such terms and conditions as may be determined upon by said Board.

Sec. 7.60. Mayor to Execute Deed.
 
   The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Los Angeles any deed necessary to effect a good and sufficient conveyance by said City of such right, title and interest in or to any real property referred to in Section 7.59 hereof as the Board of Pension Commissioners may have agreed to convey on behalf of said City, and the Mayor is further authorized and directed to execute on behalf of said City any and all reconveyances, notices and other documents, instruments, and papers of every nature which the Board of Pension Commissioners may, in its discretion, deem necessary to effectuate the terms and conditions of any agreement entered into by said Board affecting such property, or to protect or enforce any right, title or interest therein of said City, the Board of Pension Commissioners or the Fire and Police Pension Fund, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to affix the City seal to any and all of the same. Any such deed, reconveyance, document, instrument, notice or other paper shall, however, first be executed by the said Board of Pension Commissioners.
