Sec. 69.
The Council shall by ordinance fix the amounts and terms of the official bonds of all officials of the City who are required by this Charter or by ordinance to give such bonds. All such bonds shall be approved by the City Attorney as to form, and shall be filed with and remain in the keeping of the Controller, provided that the bond of the Controller shall be filed with and remain in the keeping of the City Clerk. The premium on any official bond furnished under the provisions of this Charter and executed by a corporate surety shall be paid by the City. The amounts and terms of the various bonds to the City as required immediately previous to the time this Charter takes effect shall continue as the requirements applicable to said bonds until otherwise provided by ordinance. It shall be the duty of the Controller to make recommendations to the Council concerning any changes or action necessary in the city’s interest in relation to any said bonds. (Added, 1925.)
