If any person shall willfully and unlawfully assault any authorized personnel, representative, or official of the town while discharging or attempting to discharge a duty of his or her position or office in the enforcement of an ordinance or ordinances of Lewisville contained in the code, the person shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. No legal proceedings shall be initiated under this section without the approval of the Town Attorney.
