9-3-1: IMPROVEMENTS; PERMIT REQUIRED; APPEAL:

A permit shall be required for any demolition, repair, construction or improvement on or of any street, sidewalk, curb or gutter. The permit shall be obtained from the building official by the person actually performing the construction. All applications therefor shall be made in duplicate on the form prepared by the building official. Any applicant deeming himself aggrieved may appeal the decision of the building official to the city commission. However, he shall do no such work pending the appeal, except in strict accordance with the directions of the building official. (Ord. 1722, 10-20-2008)

9-3-2: APPLICATION FOR PERMIT:

Application for the permit required by section 9-3-1 of this chapter shall give a description of the property to be served and such other information as may be required by the building official, for the proper direction of the work, and must be signed by the owner or his authorized agent. (Ord. 1456, 7-7-1980)

9-3-3: PERMIT FEES:

At the time when the application for a permit, as required by section 9-3-1 of this chapter is made, the applicant shall pay the building official the following fees for sidewalk, curb and gutter:

   (A)   First fifty feet (50'), five dollars ($5.00).

   (B)   Every additional twenty five feet (25') or portion thereafter, two dollars ($2.00).

In the event grades are requested for both sidewalk, curb and gutter, only the fee for one item shall be required. There shall be no permit fee charged for street construction or repair. (Ord. 1456, 7-7-1980)
