§ 79.01 ADOPTION OF PARTICULARS AND PROVIDING FOR SIGNAGE.
   On street stopping, standing, parking (including handicapped parking), and/or loading or unloading of vehicles upon and along the traveled portions of certain enumerated public ways, parking lots, and other public property within the city is hereafter limited, restricted and/or prohibited as provided by suitable signage noticing same placed and maintained in accordance with applicable requirements and that certain computer printout of “street signs” comprised of 51 pages, dated December 5, 2005, which printout is designated “Schedule I” and by this reference incorporated herein and made a part hereof. The ordinance adopting this code section, including that Schedule I, shall be promptly published in pamphlet for as provided in IC 36-4-6-14, and a minimum of two correct and complete copies thereof shall be maintained and available for public inspection and copying in the office of the City’s Clerk-Treasurer, all pending modification by action of Council or by action of the City’s Board of Public Works and Safety in accordance with the provisions of this code and applicable law.

§ 79.02 SEPARATE VIOLATIONS.
   (A)   In situations addressed by this chapter where the duration of continuous stopping, standing, or parking is limited to a number of minutes less than 60, each consecutive period of continuous parking for that number of minutes less than 60 shall constitute a separate violation.
   (B)   In situations addressed by this chapter where the duration of continuous parking is limited to a number of minutes of 60 or greater, each consecutive period of 60 minutes shall constitute a separate violation.

§ 79.03 SUPPLEMENTAL STOPPING, STANDING, PARKING, LOADING REGULATIONS.
   Because the Common Council cannot keep adequate track of, and address timely, all of the stopping, standing, parking and loading problems of this city on a day-to-day basis, this city's Chief of Police is hereby authorized and directed to from time to time accumulate and evaluate available information to determine whether particular stopping, standing, parking, and/or loading situations are not adequately addressed by this code, including but not limited to the installation and enforcement of the requirements of the signage referenced and particularized in this chapter, including the referenced Schedule I, and to recommend modifications and/or additions thereto to the Board of Public Works and Safety of this city (Board). That Board shall by resolution and as the duly authorized designee of the Common Council for this purpose, authorize and direct modifications or additions to those limitations, restrictions and/or prohibitions as that Board so determines to be necessary or advisable, which resolutions when adopted shall be implemented, enforceable and enforced as a part of this chapter, all pending and subject to further action by the Common Council.
