11.44.040: NOTICE TO APPEAR:
Upon any violation of this title, whenever a person is not immediately taken before a magistrate as provided in section 11.44.030 of this chapter, the officer shall prepare a written notice to appear in court which shall be prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions of Utah Code Annotated sections 77-7-18, 77-7-20 and 77-7-21. 11.44.045: NOTICE TO APPEAR IN COURT; CONTENTS; PROMISE TO COMPLY; SIGNING; RELEASE FROM CUSTODY; OFFICIAL MISCONDUCT:
Utah Code Annotated section 41-6-167 of the Utah motor vehicle act 1 , and its successors, is hereby adopted and incorporated by this reference as a city ordinance. (1999 Code)

11.44.050: VIOLATION OF PROMISE TO APPEAR AS MISDEMEANOR; APPEARANCE BY COUNSEL:
   A.   Violation: Any person wilfully violating his promise to appear in court, given as provided in this title, is guilty of a misdemeanor regardless of the disposition of the charge upon which he was originally cited.
   B.   Appearance By Counsel: A written promise to appear may be complied with by an appearance by counsel. (1999 Code)
11.44.060: WILFULLY FAILING TO APPEAR:
   A.   Misdemeanor Violation: Any person who wilfully fails to appear before a court pursuant to a misdemeanor citation issued consistent to the provisions of section 77-7-18, Utah Code Annotated, and any successor sections, or pursuant to a criminal summons or any other order of a court, is guilty of a class C misdemeanor, regardless of the disposition of the charge upon which the person was originally cited.
   B.   Appearance By Counsel: A written promise to appear in court may be complied with by appearance of counsel. (Ord. 2010-25, 12-2-2010)
