2-2-1: APPOINTMENT, TERMS OF OFFICE, QUALIFICATIONS, OFFICERS, QUORUM, REMOVAL AND VACANCIES:
   A.   Members; Terms: The Zoning Board of Appeals shall consist of between five (5) and seven (7) members appointed by the Village President and confirmed by the Village Board. Each member of the Zoning Board of Appeals shall serve for a term ending at seven thirty o'clock (7:30) P.M. on the second Monday of June in the next odd-numbered year after appointment in which the consolidated election to fill the Office of Village President occurs, or until a successor has been appointed.
   B.   Qualifications: All members of the Zoning Board of Appeals shall be residents of the Village.
   C.   Officers: The Village President shall designate one of the members of the Zoning Board of Appeals to serve as its Chairperson. The Chairperson shall hold that office until his or her successor is appointed. Such Chairperson or, in his or her absence, the Acting Chairperson, may administer oaths and compel attendance of witnesses.
   D.   Quorum; Vote Required: Four (4) members of the Zoning Board of Appeals shall constitute a quorum for the conduct of business. Any matter or recommendation before the Zoning Board of Appeals will be approved upon receiving the concurring vote of four (4) or more members present and voting at such meeting.
   E.   Removal: The Village President, with the approval of the Village Board, shall have the power to remove any members of the Zoning Board of Appeals for cause and after a hearing before the Village Board.
   F.   Vacancies: Vacancies on the Zoning Board of Appeals shall be filled for the unexpired term of the member whose place has become vacant, in the manner provided in this section for the appointment of a member. (Ord. 2017-07, 9-11-2017)
