8-7-2: PERMITTED SIGNS:
   A.   Temporary Signs:
      1.   Temporary Signs On Private Property:
         a.   Only one temporary sign affixed directly to the ground may be placed on property, or on the nearest parkway, which is for sale or where an event such as a garage sale or party is being held. (Ord. 99-1, 3-8-1999)
         b.   Such sign shall not exceed two feet by three feet (2' x 3') in size.
         c.   Such sign shall be removed within twenty four (24) hours of the acceptance of an offer to buy property for sale or the conclusion of an event; no property in the village is to be used as a commercial off site advertising location.
      2.   Temporary Signs On Public Property: Additional temporary signs of similar size may be placed on village property for a period not to exceed twelve (12) hours on the day of the event.
   B.   Permanent Signs: Permanent signs of two hundred (200) square inches or less, such as owner's name, beware of dog, etc., shall be exempt from this chapter. (Ord., 6-9-1986; amd. 1989 Code)
