§ 75.11  INSTALLATION, MAINTENANCE OF SIGNAL CROSSINGS.
   It shall be the duty of the railroad companies named in Appendix A at the end of this chapter, and their successors and assigns, to install and maintain at the railroad crossings listed in Appendix A, standard electric signaling devices for the warning and protection of persons crossing the railroads at those points.  All of the signals referred to herein shall be maintained and operated at all times so that protection is given at each of the crossings for 24 hours a day. In the event any of the signals are out of operation, the railroad company is hereby required to protect all of the crossings by a watchman or otherwise during the time the signals are not in operation.

§ 75.99  PENALTY.
   (A)   Whoever violates any provision of this chapter, for which another penalty is not provided, shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $300.  Every day any violation continues shall constitute a separate offense.  ('75 Code, § l.08)
   (B)   Any person, firm, or corporation operating or causing to be operated a railroad locomotive or railroad train at a speed greater than 35 miles per hour in or through the city shall be guilty of a violation of § 75.01, and may be fined in any sum not exceeding $100.

   (C)   Any person, firm, or corporation violating the provisions of § 75.02 (A) shall be fined any sum not exceeding $100.

   (D)   Any person found guilty and convicted of a violation of §  75.04 shall be fined in any sum not less than $10 nor more than $500.  ('75 Code, §  45.12)  (Ord. 11, passed 2-16-1876; Am. Ord. PO-77-2, passed 12-21-77)
   (E)   Any person or persons violating the terms and provisions of §§ 75.10 and 75.11 shall be subject to a fine not exceeding $100. ('75 Code, §  45.04)  (Ord. 163, passed 8-18-52)
