§ 117.01 DEFINITIONS.
   The following definition of terms shall apply to this chapter:
   "HOTEL" or "MOTEL." Any establishment in which lodging is provided and offered to the public for compensation; which is open to transient guests; and which contains five or more rental suites, rooms or dwelling units.
   "PROPRIETOR." Any owner, manager, lessee or operator of a hotel or motel.
   "GUEST." Each person who pays compensation to occupy any suite, room or dwelling unit in a hotel or motel.

§ 117.02 RECORDS.
   The proprietors of all hotels and motels in the city shall keep accurate records of all guests. Each person registering as a guest shall state, in writing his or her true name, permanent address and place of employment. The proprietor shall maintain the record for each guest for a period of not less than one year from the date of such registration.
