ARTICLE XI
MISCELLANEOUS

SECTION 1. EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE CHARTER.

   For the purpose of nominating and electing officers of the City and fixing the compensation of those to be elected in 1951, this Charter shall be in effect from and after the date of its approval by the electors of the City; and for all other purposes the Charter shall be in effect on and after January 1, 1952.

SECTION 2. EFFECT OF PARTIAL INVALIDITY.

   A determination that any part of this Charter is invalid shall not invalidate or impair the force or effect of any other part hereof, except to the extent that such other part is dependent for its operation upon the part declared invalid.
